| | Description | Mad Catz' officially licensed Wireless Fender Precision Bass Replica is the must-have bass guitar for every Rock Band enthusiast. The custom finish and strap both ensure your bass axe will look as good as the real thing on and off stage. With the premium-quality dual/split strum bar you can hit notes like never before. Its two-piece design allows for two-finger flicking like no other bass can offer, meaning the patent-pending technology provides the extra edge you need to excel in the game. A Whammy dial and an additional set of Fret Buttons for strum-free finger tapping allow the bass to double as a guitar, making it all you need to jam either role in-game. If you had to choose only one bass guitar for throwing down in Rock Band, this feature-rich Wireless Fender Precision Bass Replica from Mad Catz would be your only choice. | |

Doesn't work May 14, 2010 This guitar seemed great taking it out of the box. Feels heavier, you can tell its well constructed. After about an hour, nothing. I don't see how it can work with the PS3 fine, then just quit working.
Great addition for the "real band" experience Mar 12, 2010 I am a bass player and this bass guitar controller makes my heart warm. The detail in this product is really impressive. The color options are really great, I chose seafoam green because I wish I could own a real bass of the same color, but this controller definitely satisfies my need! I am unsure about the 5-way selector and what use it plays in the games but the two mini strum bars accurately replicate playing an actual bass, or you can use only one of the strum bars like a classic controller of this genre (and you can make the switch in the midst of playing). Absolutley love this bass controller, recommend it to everyone!
Returning 3rd guitar - too many problems. Feb 18, 2010 This guitar has an awesome feel, great action and really makes playing the Bass a lot more fun with the dual-strum capability.
Of course, this is if the unit is actually working.
All 3 I have had have the same problem - keeps looking connection (seems to turn itself off at random) if you move at all. Makes playing rather cumbersome.
I appreciate Amazon and their return policy, but I think that the folks who made the Guitar really messed up on their product QA.
Maybe as they fix their problems it will be worth it.

Mad Katz Fender Bass Feb 17, 2010 This product has quality issues. After checking the blogs, the problems that I was having--getting dropped--was a common problem. I called support and they denied the problem, so I guess all those blog people never called in which is not what they said on the blog. They would not exchange it until I mailed it in. They have no exchange program like Rock Band itself. I got it to work by connecting the wireless connector to an USB extension and keeping it close to the bass. I like to play the bass to and on the blogs my problem was minor and I made it work so I will not exchange it because everyone who exchanged theirs reported that the replacement had problems too.

Yay Bass Dec 06, 2009 Nice to have an 'actual' bass in the band, and the split, two finger strum bar and thumb rest adds a nice touch of reality. The dial operated whammy is hard to use though, so don't look for this axe to provide top scores if you are a competitive player. It's also hard to get this bass and the stock guitars to all sync up with the receivers, it usually takes some replugging or rebooting to get everyone going.
